All meetings are hybrid and held on the 3rd Thursdays of the month at 9:10 unless otherwise noted. Held in Principal Sparks's office and on Zoom.

Thoreau Announcements: Newsletter Submission Guidelines 

 

 

What We Accept: 

  • PTG, school, & district news, events, & initiatives
  • Community events, fundraisers, drives, etc. 
  • Recreation & enrichment opportunities for children offered by nonprofit and youth sports organizations within the Concord-Carlisle community. For-profit organizations may submit up to 2 announcements per school year for qualifying opportunities. We do not publish individual services offered by for-profit businesses including tutoring, photography, or private lessons.
  • Non-partisan information on town meetings, forums, elections, etc.

When & How to Submit: 

  • Deadline: 9AM on Friday for the following Thursday newsletter
  • Send submissions to the Editor at thoreauannouncements@gmail.com
  • Submissions must be sent as text in an email
  • Include contact info/website link
  • All images/flyers must be in .png or .jpg format
  • Limit submissions to 100 words or fewer. 

Longer submissions may be edited or posted in full on the PTG website and linked from the newsletter. Acceptance of submissions is at the discretion of the Thoreau PTG Executive Board. For-profit organizations are encouraged to participate in the Directory Sponsorship program, which includes advertisements in the newsletter. [Guidelines last updated September 2026]
