Child's Play at Theatre III presents The Great Race: The Story of the Chinese Zodiac
Child's Play at Theatre III is excited to be working in cooperation with the Acton Chinese Language School to present the New England premiere of The Great Race: The Story of the Chinese Zodiac by Reiko Ho. The original production at the Honolulu Theatre for Youth was the recipient of a 2024 NEA Grant.
Join our characters, Po Po and Kung Kung, as they celebrate Chinese New Year by making dumplings and sharing the story of The Great Race with their grandkids, Freddie and Ivy. Theatre III has been working with experts in traditional Chinese movement, music, and martial arts to create a joyous, action-packed retelling of one of the most beloved tales in Chinese folklore -- the origin story of the Chinese Zodiac.
Performances June 13-14 and 20-21 at Theatre III, 250 Central Street, Acton.
Tickets are $10 online and $12 at the door.
